As the stone is naturally formed and not man-made the stones vary in colour and markings and are not identical. Nature isn't a perfect manufacturer, which is what makes it special. Many natural stones have minor inclusions in them, which is perfectly normal and do not make the beads defective. Please be aware therefore, that if you require perfection, these are not for you.

Turquoise is believed to be a stone of communication and making you more loving, creative and honest. It is also considered a stone of friendship and is said to be a protective stone.

Stabilised Turquoise is the most common type of Turquoise available on the market.
Since most of the extracted Turquoise is unusable in its natural state, stabilisation allows it to improve its characteristics. The stabilisation process consists in the addition of epoxy to lower grade Turquoise through pressure. This process not only hardens the stone, but it also intensifies the color; in addition, it is possible to use it for all types of Turquoise, both on low and higher quality Turquoise stones.

Turquoise is the birthstone for December.

By the very nature of sterling silver, there is no way to protect it from tarnishing because sterling silver reacts with so many materials found in everyday life. The best way to reduce tarnish build-up is to actually wear your sterling silver jewellery often. When sterling silver is not worn it tarnishes quickly. Unavoidable I'm afraid, but perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned by, and it can easily be removed with a silver polishing cloth or polishing cream.
